Very comfortable, good quality, independent motel with cosy dining room for breakfasts.  Short stroll to Royal Hotel or Benalla Bowls Club.  The Avondel has been rejuvenated and has huge repeat business.  Guests are made very welcome and every effort is made to please. 

Benalla is a great town to base yourself in - short drives to Winton Motor Raceway, Brown Brothers Winery, Milawa Cheese Factory, Bright, Rutherglen, or the Murray River. 

Or stay close at home and do the Ned Kelly trail, visit the Art Gallery or the specialty shops Benalla has to offer.  Get a group together and play golf at our great golf course, or bowls at the Benalla Bowls Club.
