Art galleries – Gippsland

Gallery in Gippsland

Gippsland is rich in colour and creativity, with over 1,500 artists working in the region. You can view and buy their work at one of the many workshops and galleries in the region.

In Central Gippsland there are two excellent public galleries, the Latrobe Regional Gallery in Morwell and the Gippsland Regional Art Gallery in Sale. Yarragon Village also has a number of fine galleries and art and craft shops, including the Town and Country Gallery with its remarkable display of original artworks from hand blown glass to furniture and exquisite jewellery. In Yinnar and Cowwar, converted butter factories now host galleries and artist studios and are definitely worth visiting. There are many other private galleries dotted through the region in towns such as Neerim South and Traralgon.
