| Koots has been a favourite among the well-to-do Kooyong set for several years now. It is spoken of with the sort of affection usually reserved for a gifted child, and chef Patrice Repellin has long had a place in the hearts of the local matrons. Repellin's cuisine is modern French, which seems to mean traditionally inspired dishes without anything too heavy or overly rich. The restaurant itself - a tiny space with bistro chairs and lots of white linen - is similarly stylish and comfortable without being overdone.
