Fishing – Phillip Island

Cast a line at Phillip Island. If you are a rod and line fishing enthusiast, head to the jetties at Cowes, Newhaven, Rhyll and San Remo. Flathead, snapper, whiting, salmon, shark and squid are most commonly caught in these waters, while mussel, pipis, squid, prawns and pilchards are commonly used baits. 

Boat fishing in Western Port is also a popular past time and charter fishing expeditions run out of Cowes, Newhaven, San Remo and Rhyll. Hire boats are also available from Rhyll and Cowes.
