| One thing is for sure when you visit the River Tea House: if you order a cuppa, you are sure as heck in for more than a garden variety teabag thrown into a mug. There are more than 60 teas for you to choose from here, with high altitude Sri Lankan leaves rubbing shoulders with South African rooibos. On top of this there are six types of hot chocolates, organic soft drink and juices. A homely lunch menu of freshly baked scones and sourdough sandwiches fits in nicely with the restaurant's rustic weatherboard-style design. The Erskine River runs by its side, adding to the house's serene atmosphere. This tranquil ambience is particularly evident on their summer high tea nights, when the doors are open a bit longer to enjoy the balmy summer evenings with a warm cuppa or an icy glass.
