Wine buffs will probably be familiar with Tuck's Ridge, with this picturesque winery churning out a decent range of chardies, cab savs, pinot gris and more. What they might not know is that the winery also includes a cafe secured behind bluestone walls, looking out over the winery's vines and the idyllic landscape of Red Hill. Though the name labels this venue as a cafe, the menu swings away from breakfasts and sandwiches, leaning more toward restaurant fare. Local produce is used to create such dishes as a grazing platter of meat, seafood, marinated vegetables and olives; a duck, pork and pistachio terrine; or chargrilled beef with green beans and anchovy butter.
