The huge curve-roofed, barn-like building that holds this cafe is within the Tahbilk Winery complex, overlooking a wetlands wildlife reserve. Catering for tourists and wine connoisseurs alike, the Wetlands Cafe offers simple and tasty fare to fuel visitors for the broad range of epicurean and sightseeing activities at the complex. From the generously proportioned deck, diners can look out over the thriving wetlands and contemplate a ride on the punt that regularly chugs across the water. The menu keeps things simple and regionally focused with a range of tasty focaccias, baguettes and Jumbuck gourmet pies. For a true taste of rural Victoria, the grazing plate contains a selection of local meats, cheeses and vegetables, displayed in an antipasto style. The wine list covers the estate's wines only, but with a broad range from both Tahbilk and Dalfarras labels, this is certainly no hardship.
