Yet aside from all this, Loop is also a welcoming place for drinks. The seating is plush and plentiful and although the bar may not be the focal point of this venue, the same dedication has gone into the drinks menu as it has in the artworks.

Order up a Just Imagine cocktail (lemon sorbet covered with gin, elderflower and caramel) or the Herbaliser which might even have you thinking you're doing something remotely good for your health (fresh mint, basil, coriander, lemon and ginger mixed with sneaky shots of vodka and Cinzano Bianco). Alternatively, try the Quincessential (Glayva scotch liqueur, cognac, mandarin liqueur and quince paste).

For those wanting something a little less extravagant, the bar also serves bottled local beers such as Holgate Macedon Ale and Yarra Valley Buckley's Bock, along with international brands such as the German Schofferhofer Kristallweizen.

There's an ever-changing program of screenings, performances, experimental works and sessions with DJs augmenting their tunes with images or videos.
