Mildura
Mildura will overwhelm your senses as you explore the dramatic landscapes, from rivers and lush farmland to vast tracts of red desert and shimmering salt lakes. Mildura is a place of such diversity it's difficult to believe you can have it all in one holiday. The region is renowned for its fantastic food, wine and culture. Imagine lunching on fine cuisine and wine in a chic riverside restaurant and that evening, sleeping beneath a ceiling of stars in the middle of the great Australian outback.
Soak up the unique pioneering history of tiny Mallee towns surrounded by more than a half a dozen national parks linked together in spring by a carpet of wildflowers.
Orange World
Bridget and Glen Visit Orange World, a working 50 acre citrus property situated just eight minutes from Mildura. Orange World is a tourist park with educational and informative citrus tours. The tour takes you through the picturesque property of avocado trees, numerous citrus varieties and the tree grafting areas. At orange blossom time the trees are laden with blossom and the sweet scent drifts throughout the orchard. As you travel under cover on the 70-seat tractor train, passengers receive a fruit tasting and informative commentary.

Mungo National Park
Mungo National Park contains the longest continuous record of Aboriginal life in Australia, dating back 40,000 to 60,000 years ago and who better to tell the story of Mungo, than the traditional caretakers of this land. Join Harry Nanya Tours and board the air-conditioned coach. Meet the local Barkindji Aboriginal tour guide who will interpret the flora and fauna of the outback.
Enjoy the trip out to Mungo, while the guide explains the plants used for bush tucker and bush medicine. While at Mungo National Park make sure you stop at the visitor information centre which provides information and displays about the park and its natural and cultural heritage.
Meander through the Historic Mungo Woolshed built by Chinese labourers which still stands as it did in 1869. Enjoy lunch at Mungo Lodge in the fully licensed restaurant. After lunch take a short stroll on the boardwalk to the lookout where erosion has formed the spectacular Walls of China, a 30km crescent of white sand dunes that were once the shores to the lake. Significant sites of well-preserved middens (campfires), cooking hearths and burial sites are visible.
