| Set in the newly-hip development of Station Street, Fairfield, this a la carte taverna-style restaurant pays homage to the region's multicultural roots with genuine Greek cuisine. Arty photos of Greek fishermen, Hellenic newspapers and Bazoukis adorn the walls while the dimly lit interior opens out into a double level blue stone courtyard dining area giving Trapezi a modern European vibe.
The food revolves around kreatika (meats) and thallasina (seafood) with saganaki, dips, skewers of lamb and fetta garden salads available as daily specials. The wine list boasts 28 wines, many imported from Greece, as well as Retsina Maloumatina and Mythos, an imported Greek beer. Diners can enjoy live Greek music from Tuesday to Thursday. A happy snap display beside a joking sign which reads 'no dancing on tables, no breaking plates' hints that this is a place for great food and good times.
