At the base of Mt Buffalo and with the Ovens River at the rear of the park, we really are sitting pretty. But if you like exercise as well as sitting, the Wangaratta to Bright Rail Trail is ideal for cycling and walking and is located directly outside the park.

Mt Buffalo National Park is great for wildlife watching, walks, canoeing and the nearby snow fields are sensational for skiing and boarding or just some snow play. Famous for its Autumn Festival with amazing deciduous tree displays, the whole area is rich with wineries, restaurants and amazing Aussie nature.

Cancellation / Booking Policy
TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Deposits and Payments - A credit card deposit equivalent to the first nights’ accommodation is required at the time of booking. The Park will process a charge against your credit card and send confirmation to the email address supplied. The balance is due on check in. Changes and cancellations for stays during high season must be made more than 30 days prior to arrival. If a cancellation is within 30 days of arrival the deposit is forfeited. Cancellations at other times can be made up to 2 days prior to arrival. Reception hours are 8am to 5.30pm. Guests arriving outside these times must contact park reception during reception hours to make alternate arrangements. Fees may apply to arrivals after 8pm. Guests who fail to arrive on the designated day or who arrive after reception hours and have not made alternate arrangements will forfeit the cost of the first night. With the exception of medically certified guide dogs, dogs are not permitted. Check out time is 10am. Late check outs can be arranged at an extra charge where available. Check in time is from 2pm.
