Albion Hotel

The Albion Hotel is the entertainment centre of Swifts Creek. Many clubs hold regular meetings. Several times each year large functions are held which attract many hundreds of tourists.

Swifts Creek is situated 380kms from Melbourne on the Great Alpine Road in Victoria's Alpine Region. It is 90kms from Mount Hotham and 70kms from Dinner Plain making day access to the snow fields a relatively short drive. Bairnsdale is 95kms to the south.

Swifts Creek is a cattle and sheep farming area, with some logging. The DSE has its fire fighting headquarters here for this part of East Gippsland. Also present are the DPI and Parks Victoria.

The Albion Hotel handles accommodation enquiries for Albion House, which is a two unit complex with self contained accommodation. Albion House is situated 200 metres from the hotel, near the Tambo River.
