The Alpine Shire manages this Visitor Information Centre located in Mount Beauty. Mount Beauty is located just 90 minutes south east of Albury travelling along the Hume and Kiewa Valley Highways. The surrounding townships include Falls Creek, Bright, Myrtleford, Harrietville and Mount Hotham. They provide an extraordinary array of experiences for any visitor ranging from serene activities such as bush walking, wining and dining through to more extreme activities including mountain biking, hang gliding, ski touring and white water rafting. Victoria's Alpine High Country offers opportunities for young and old especially families. Mount Beauty itself provides an ideal base to tour the Kiewa Valley and Falls Creek mountain resort and continue along Bogong's High Plains Road to Omeo and Gippsland. The Mount Beauty Visitor Information Centre is a Level 2 Accredited Centre, open 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm. Specialising in maps and trail guides of the Alpine National Park, including Mount Bogong and Mount Feathertop. The Centre is in a transformed SEC building and now offers state of the art interactive displays on mountain biking, ski touring, winter olympics, hydro electricity and regional food and wine.
