As well as the two rooms that face out onto the street, there are another couple of secret squirrel-ish hideaways towards the rear. The whole interior is bedecked with some of the zaniest art on display anywhere and if anything takes your fancy you can put in an offer at the bar. The narrow path leading to the cosy, partially covered beer garden is lined with potted plants and trees for a lush effect, while the walls around the seating area boast enough ivy to make a Harvard graduate feel homesick. Alphabet City is like a really chilled house party that you know you're not going to want to leave.
