Heronswood, overlooking Port Phillip at Dromana, is surrounded by 4 acres of magnificent gardens. It is the headquarters of The Diggers Club, which supplies a variety of seeds to more 40,000 members. Heronswood's gardens are also a research centre for plants and organic gardening methods.

The Briars Homestead is surrounded by striking avenues and plantations of oaks, elms, maritime pines, olives and hawthorns dating from the 1860s. Waterbirds can be viewed from the bird observation hides overlooking extensive wetlands and there are also beautiful woodland walks.
