The new Australian Garden, is a place where you can discover the beauty and diversity of Australian flora and landscapes.

The Australian Garden won the 2006 Qantas Australian Tourism Award for the top 'New Tourism Development', why not come and see our many highlights...

  • an awe-inspiring Red Sand Garden
  • a Rockpool Waterway
  • a thematic Eucalypt Walk
  • five Exhibition Gardens, including a Water Saving Garden and a Kids Backyard Garden
  • an Escarpment Wall sculpture over 100 metres in length

Tours, activities and programs presented in the Australian Garden provide a range of informative and exciting experiences for visitors of all ages. There is also a café and a shop for visitors to enjoy.

Once you have finished in the Australian Garden, head into the rest of the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne or visit the Gardens Shop or Boonerwurrung Cafe.

The 10 km of walking tracks, abundance of native animals and 360-degree lookout tower make the Gardens an ideal place for natures-lovers to enjoy the Australian bush, only 45 minutes drive from Melbourne!

The Australian Garden is open every day except Christmas Day. The rest of RBG Cranbourne is closed on Christmas Day and days of total fire ban and extreme weather.

Cancellation / Booking Policy
1. In the event that an RBGC program is cancelled by us, due to circumstances beyond our control (eg: A day of total fire ban) the program may be rescheduled to a mutually agreeable date.

2. If a group or individual, cancels the booking giving the RBGC at least 48 hours notice a full refund will be offered, less a $40.00 administration fee.

3. If a group or individual, reschedules the program to another date, giving at least 14 days notice, no administration charge will be levied.

4. Should the booking be cancelled within 48 hours of the event or for non-attendance, no refund will be issued.
