Working side by side with someone can foster some interesting relationships, especially in the pressured, frantic environment of the restaurant industry. Strong friendships can be forged or, in the case of Dominique Bolger and John Singer, marriage. As former employees of the renowned Harvey's, the couple has now opened up a restaurant of their own, Lord Cardigans. Singer serves up dishes that are distinctly Australian with touches of Asian and European influences. Be sure to try their famous suckling pig or such dishes as their green prawn and calamari with spicy mango relish. The '70s-style wallpaper and walnut furniture maintain Lord Cardigans' homely atmosphere, which is paying off with a growing clientele of regulars.
