Riding a wave of fusion, The Surfrider is a terrifically popular establishment in Torquay. Using only the best produce, much of it local, The Surfrider pleases with dishes such as feta, sweet potato and baby-pea tortellini; or a delightful dish of grilled Moreton Bay bug meat on a bed of sweet-and-sour snake beans, razor-thin fennel and julienne pawpaw. Come dessert, a sticky date pudding (with the added vitamin B6 of banana) will surely please without that guilty feeling - no matter how sinfully sweet (read: yummy) a sticky date pud sounds.
