St. Agnes Homestead is a heritage property with a rich history which has been restored to its original charm. St. Agnes Homestead is not your typical bed and breakfast. Instead there are several smart lodgings in the large 1870's homestead. Special dinners can be arranged in the formal dining room.
The Stables Loft is ideal for longer stays as it is fully self contained with kitchen, bathroom, small Tack room entrance with open fireplace, a hidden staircase leads to Loft, beautiful views over the cobbled courtyard and woodland garden and vineyard. Privacy would suit writer, artists or counsellor.
The Groom's Retreat is a handsome, neutral toned Groom's Retreat with open fireplace and claw foot bath and views over the eastern lawn and vineyard. Its modern country style decor is appealing.
French Provincial style Flynn Apartment is fully self-contained. The kitchen even has a bright red aga stove, fit for any food enthusiast. It has a large bedroom with chandelier and a sitting room with fireplace, large bathroom and laundry. It is ideal for longer stays.
The Gallery has two bedrooms, sitting room with open fireplace, sunny conservatory, gallery and bathroom.
All include continental breakfast provisions consisting of juice, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, breads, croissants, jams, coffee, tea and milk. For groups breakfast can be arranged in the Dining Room.
All rooms have tranquil views over the sprawling lawn, vineyard and pond and beyond toward the township of Kyneton. A short stroll will take you straight down to Piper Street with its famous restaurants, eclectic boutiques and coffee shops.
For those special occasions such as birthdays or wedding, the garden, Stables or Cellar can be used to make each occasion truly individual and memorable. They also have the formal dining room for functions or the bluestone cellar which is stocked with Merlot.
