Farmstays are a rewarding cultural experience creating unforgettable memories and lasting friendships. Stay with a real Australian family, 'on the land', joining in daily tasks and special seasonal farm activities.

Enjoy delicious home cooked meals, in the warm and friendly family atmosphere, typical of Aussie hospitality. Often you can collect the eggs to have them cooked for your breakfast, or vegetables to eat them fresh with your meal. Experience a hot chocolate around a campfire under the amazing carpet of stars at night.

Have your farm stay arranged by Downunder Farmstays with a farm family ready to meet and greet you, show you the local sights, provide quality 'hearty' meals and share their country living experiences with you.

Your farm stay will include breakfasts, lunches and dinners and various farm activities with the farm family. Farm activities are varied and differ from farm to farm.

Within one to one and a half hours from Melbourne and over 100 farms near Kyneton and Ballarat areas, Downunder Farmstays can provide you with a true farmstay experience.

Downunder Farmstays only provides quality accommodation for the free independent traveller, student groups small and large, as well as family groups. The farm families are experienced hosts and enjoy sharing and educating their visitors, adults and children, about farming life.

One night will give you a taste of Australia, but two or three nights is the ideal farmstay package to allow time to experience the various activities and the culture of the Australian countryside. Your booking would be a private booking with no other guests staying at the same time. You will soon be best of friends with the farm pets too.

Everyone needs to travel beyond the city to experience the beauty of the Australian countryside and people.
