This Winery and Cellar door dining attraction is family owned by Pauline Russell and John Boucher. John is the winemaker and his family has a long tradition of wine making going back to his great grandfather.

Fine food is a major feature at Kyneton Ridge with gourmet delight platters, pizzas and coffee served all weekend, with seating for up to 50 people by open fire in winter or under the sails on the deck in warmer weather. Air conditioning provided in the cellar door dining room.

The Bed and Breakfast country retreat combines elegance and classic country living in a striking blend of luxury and informality. The impeccable style is set from the moment you first enter the sandstone house which is filled with the warmth of crackling log fires in the cooler winter months. Flanked by grapevines and rose gardens, the luxury bed and breakfast offers privacy and unparalleled panoramas.

Local directions

Travelling from Melbourne on the Calder Highway, take the second turn-off to Kyneton (Lake Eppalock & Wineries Sign) and head over the bridge away from Kyneton. After about four kilometres turn right into Hallorans Lane (the Winery entrance), and then at the end - turn left into Blackhill Road. Fun time had by recent visitors to our Winery attraction
We had a fantastic time at Kyneton Ridge Estate for our luncheon with fifty New Zealand friends. What a unique experience to be able to celebrate such an important occasion as our University Reunion in such an informal and intimate setting. The staff were very personable and gave superb service. The owners, John and Pauline, treated us to the most beautiful wines. It was so good to be able to get first hand knowledge from them about the local area and the vineyard. Their whites and reds complemented our delicious three course lunch which was prepared for us by local chef Steve. We not only got fabulous value for our money we had a rip roaring time. It was great to have the entire winery for our exclusive use making our jokes and story telling over the afternoon less inhibited! Our Kiwi friends were so taken with the wines they packed as many bottles as they could into their bags for the journey home. Lunch at Kyneton Ridge Estate - definitely voted the highlight of the weekend! A great venue for group functions. We can highly recommend it! Kind regards Angie and Bruce
