Have a great family fun day at the Tangled Maze and Mistydowns Nursery. A large, unusual Botanical Maze just bursting with flowers. Thousand's of climbers and twiners form the two meter high walls. Mystery trails, Puzzles and plenty of space for kids to burn up that unspent energy.
Try a challenging game of Mini Golf on the beautifully landscaped 18 hole course. Enjoy a leisurely game of Bocce or Giant Chess.
Quoits and naughts and crosses will keep those busy minds occupied. Bring a picnic and take in the fabulous views or enjoy the tasty meals in the cosy cafe. Browse in Mistydowns Nursery, it is well stocked with heritage roses, peonies and unusual perennials.
Bookings made by Clubs, Schools and groups will enjoy hours of pleasure at special rates. Christmas break-ups and birthday parties can enjoy what is on offer with a difference. Seating available for up to 120 people.
Tangles function room with its unique French Baroque decor is an ideal venue for weddings, conferences, parties or special events. Seating up to 120 guests with views to die for, it is fully licensed and completely self contained. The glass atrium entry is ideal for pre dinner drinks or small functions and overlooks beautiful wrought iron balustrade landing.
Getting lost in the maze is half the fun at The Tangled Maze, beautiful gardens, fabulous views, delicious food and coffee, a delightful place for all ages to relax and enjoy a great day out.

Group bookings where a meal is provided must pay 25 per cent deposit. This deposit is non refundable if cancellation is made within three days of booking.

Local directions
Five kilometres from Creswick Post Office towards Daylesford. Follow signposts to Daylesford along the Midland Highway (A300). We are located at the Corner Midland highway and Smokey town Road. Set back 50 metres off the highway. It is 24 kilometres from Ballarat and 24 kilometres from Daylesford.

About the Maze
The Tangled Maze was planted some 20 years ago. This fabulous mature Maze consists of 1000's of climber and twiners to create the 2 meter high walls. The 1.4 kilometres of pathway are planted with narrow borders of colourful perennials. Hundreds of Clematis shower the walls from late September to November and the again in March April.
The extensive collection of both Tree and Herbaceous peonies are planted through out the maze with flowering time being from early October to late November. The Maze is not just a green Hedge Maze; it is far more interesting for both children and adults. The mystery trail keeps everyone guessing. While a restful sitting area can be found in the centre. The two viewing towers give you the most spectacular views for 360 degrees as far as the eye can see, from the Daylesford forests to the mountains of the Pyrenees wine region.
The cosy cafe has hot and cold refreshment as well as affordable family meals. Enjoy a delicious coffee and soak up the fabulous views while you relax. Tangles Function room is fully licensed and seats up to 120 people. It is ideal for conferences, weddings, group bookings and coach meals. We cater for formal sit down meals to casual buffet style. Bookings essential.
The well stocked Nursery is full of interesting and unusual perennials, old fashioned roses and peonies. A great place to browse while the kids play a game of Giant Chess. There is something for everyone at the Tangled Maze, fun, flowers, perfume and puzzles, delicious food and and wine and plenty of space and fresh country air, what a combination for a great family day.
