Overview
Bring the family to Creswick Wollen Mills to see the Alpacas.
You all know that there is nothing cuter than an Alpaca, with the possible exception of a Cria? Did you know that a baby alpaca is called a Cria?
During the School Holidays, the Mills hosts some great family friendly events featuring some of the prettiest baby alpacas in the region. Which one is the cutest? Well you get to judge for yourself on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th of July at the Cutest Cria Competition, presented by the Australian Alpaca Association.
There are activities for all ages and the opportunity to talk to local breeders about Alpacas and the beautiful products made from the Fibre of the Gods.
The Mills also features a self guided tour where you can see the factory machinery up close. Creswick Woollen Mills is the last coloured woollen spinning Mill left in Australia and you can view the Centenary Celebrations of its founder, Paul Ryzowy.
Have a hot chocolate in the Café while the kids feed the alpacas on the viewing deck. Entry is free and the factory outlet is open every day from 9am to 5pm. There really is no reason to miss the Mills!
