Through special arrangements with equestrian training facilities in the Macedon Ranges and surrounding areas, Wine Tours Victoria offers a unique experience for all thoroughbred racing fans.
Operating on the first Sunday and Monday of November during the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival, the Thoroughbred Stud tour by Wine Tours Victoria will give you the opportunity to talk to the owners and managers of some of Victoria's premier stud farms.
You will visit top class stud farms where you will receive a guided tour of the complex and view the resident stallion parade, enjoy lunch at a local winery and visit a cellar door or two for a tasting.
The personalised tours enable you to view magnificent stallions paraded before you, meet the owners and senior staff. Ask questions, they are only too pleased to answer, view mares with their newborn colts and fillies(future racing champions) and visit pre-training and training facilities.
In addition, your tour will include a wine tasting and winery lunch, plus morning tea along the way.

Wine Tours Victoria hallmark tours provide small personalised touring, which ensures maximum enjoyment and lasting memories. The theory is that visiting a winery is best done in a small group (two to ten people); this ensures special treatment for all guests.
Wine Tours Victoria have bookings more often due to the intimate nature of the tours on offer and the ability to learn about the wines, regions and meet the wine makers along the way. Only small group touring can offer this.
A winery tour is a day of memories with fresh air, countryside, yeasty smells of wine casts, and memories of that smooth Cabernet with the lingering finish. Combine this with a lunch of regional produce, and you have the perfect day of indulgence.
