Waratah Lodge is an intimate boutique country hotel with stunning coastal views over Waratah Bay and Wilsons Promontory, the perfect place to unwind and relax in the rural area of Waratah North, South Gippsland. It is very close to Walkerville, Waratah Bay and Sandy Point and just 30 minutes from Wilsons Promontory.

Once at Waratah Lodge you can unwind in the unique coast and country environment to the sound of local wildlife and beautiful views. Read a book, take a walk, or enjoy a light snack and a coffee from their cafe.

There are lots of things to do around the area including local art galleries, unique shops, interesting nature and bush walks, fishing sailing and much, much more. From the large windows you can watch native animals grazing on the grassed area at the front.

They would love to host your next family gathering or special event. The Lodge is also a great venue or work place team building. Get out of the city and spend a weekend and you will go away refreshed.

Waratah Lodge comes complete with six very comfortable bedrooms each with a private ensuite bathroom including a double spa bath, and a king or queen bed. All rooms also have a small fridge with tea and coffee making facilities and a small table and chairs. While guests can enjoy looking out over the amazing views of Wilsons Promontory, having breakfast or a glass of wine. There is a large flat screen digital television with a DVD player in each room and reverse cycle air conditioning. Price is per room per night.6


All of the rooms are lined with a different timber and identified accordingly. Each room has reverse cycle air conditioning and its own bathroom with a double spa. They all have expansive views of WaratahBay and Wilsons Prom. 3 rooms have king beds and 3 have queen but they all have top quality matresses to give you a restful nights sleep.6

Cancellation and booking policy

A $100 deposit is required to secure booking, balance payable on arrival. Deposit will be retained if no front or cancellation inside of one week. A full refund will be given if more than two weeks notice is given.

Local directions

The Lodge is an easy two hour drive from Melbourne via the South Gippsland highway and only a short 35 minute drive to Wilsons Promontory and five minutes to three popular beaches including Waratah Bay, Sandy point and Walkerville. From Fish Creek follow signs towards Walkerville. Thomson Road is three kilometres after the Waratah Road Walkerville Fish Creek Road intersection. Turn left into Thomson Road and drive into the Lodge.
