Venus Bay Eco Retreat is an eco-friendly, two-storey cottage nestled in 15 acres of protected bushland 180 kilometres from Melbourne city and located away from suburban areas and holiday crowds. This location is ideal for viewing wildlife at close proximity from the cottage veranda.

The cottage is air conditioned with solar power, modern interiors and quality furnishings. Linen, warm bath sheets, beach towels, organic bathroom products, organic teas and freshly ground organic coffee are included. The cottage is private and peaceful and ideal for couples, sleeps maximum four people including children. Babies under 12 months visit for free.

Venus Bay Eco Retreat is within walking or a short drive distance to stunning beaches at Cape Liptrap Coastal Park and bird-rich wetlands at Anderson Inlet. The Venus Bay Eco Retreat is 60 kilometres from Wilsons Promontory National Park and located in the heart of South Gippsland's boutique winery and slow food region.

Venus Bay Eco Retreat is accredited with Advanced Ecotourism and Climate Action, your visit helps conserve this beautiful coast and its unique wildlife. Visitors enjoy viewing wildlife, swimming, surfing, bird watching, fishing, beach and bush walks, bicycle trails, nearby boutique wineries, galleries and cafes and visiting national and marine parks.

Two storey, self contained cottage surrounded by bushland and wildlife. Downstairs an open plan kitchenette, dining and lounge. Modern bathroom with walk in shower, free standing bath and bushland views. Organic bathroom products provided. Upstairs area has a carpeted bedroom loft with one queen and one single ensemble bed. One double fold out bed downstairs in the lounge. Port-a-cot with or without linen available as a booking extra. Australian wool quilts, quality linen, warm bath sheets, towels and beach towels provided. Certified organic, ethically produced products are provided for guests including the well equipped kitchenette and outdoors barbecue. Solar power, rainwater, eco friendly. Ideal for couples, sleeps maximum four guests including children. Babies under 12 months visit free.

Cancellation and booking policy

Check availability, book and pay online from the eco retreat website, or contact the property by phone or email. A 30 per cent of the total tariff cancellation fee applies for all bookings. Venus Bay Eco Retreat regret that no refunds are available for cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the arrival date unless another booking is received for the same dates. Venus Bay Eco Retreat advises travellers to arrange travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.

Once on the M1, take the M420 exit left. Continue on the M420 for approximately 34 kilometres, and then take the Korumburra and Leongatha exit to the left on route A440. Continue following road signs to Leongatha, Koonwarra, then to Tarwin Lower. Travel through the small township of Tarwin Lower with the Tarwin River on your right and you will soon arrive at the small village of Venus Bay. From Venus Bay village, turn left into Centre Road then left into Canterbury Road, follow this road to Lees Road, keep travelling due west. Venus Bay Eco Retreat is at 802 Lees Road.
