Waratah Hills Vineyard is a boutique vineyard operated by Judy and Neil Travers in the hills behind the renowned Waratah Bay, South Gippsland.

Located seven kilometres from Fish Creek, on the road to Wilson's Promontory National Park. The "prom" peninsula is a unique 50,000 hectare stretch of protected coastal parklands past the tiny township of Yanakie and centred around the village of Tidal River.

The vineyard faces north-east in a beautiful domed valley, formed by the Hoddle Creek.

Joining the Dots
We were delighted to recently unveil the new Waratah Hills branding and label design. Melbourne based graphic designer James Sadgrove visited the vineyard on several occasions and following many discussions produced a contemporary design of dots in the shape of the surrounding hills overlooking the vineyard. The results is a stunning new design that has elevated the Waratah Hills experience to new levels through great use of typography and smart design. We hope you like it.

The Wines
South Gippsland is a region ideally suited for the growing of Pinot Noir, so it is no surprise that at Waratah Hills, Pinot Noir is our signature wine. The finesse, the elegance and the lightness achieved by the Pinot Noir producers in this region are all characteristics associated with this complex variety. We are also producing a Waratah Hills Chardonnay, grown on our north facing Top Paddock protected from the winds and exposed to full morning sunlight. It's a wine that fully reflects the citrus flavors of cool climate Chardonnay. We have been working closely with our winemaker Marcus Satchell to produce our Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Rose and with Mal Stewart who is a sparkling specialist and is producing our Vintage Brut.
