Overview
Packers High Country Horse Riding offers two nights accommodation, meals and a day of riding. Choice of accommodation is one of the bush huts or staying in the farmhouse, overlooking the Bundarrah River.
Start the day with a hearty breakfast before riding out through the bush up and over hills and mountain tracks, along rivers with perhaps a stop at The Blue Duck Inn before heading back to home. If the weather permits dinner is held on the deck under the stars before retiring around the campfire. Otherwise you dine inside and watch the weather through the walls of glass.
Perfect if you are wanting a break from the grown up kids and husband. An easy days ride,a bottle of wine, a group of friends, someone else cooking for you.

Tour operator
Packers High Country Horse Riding offers horse riding from one hour to five day camping treks. Situated in the remote Bundarrah Valley, in the Omeo High Country region, farmland is surrounded by National parks and forests, providing never ending tracks and trails to ride.
Ride by the hour and by the day. Treks are on offer for all standards and ages of riders and tailor made to suit.
Longer rides through the Alpine National Parks might take in the historic Glen Wills, remote Cobungra river valleys and the vast Bogong High Plains, a viewing platform for Victoria's highest mountains.
Treks follow along routes that were once used by Aborigines who showed early explorers, goldminers and cattlemen the way through the mountains. You seldom see others except for the group you ride with. Enjoy a great picnic lunch out bush then at night settle around the campfire, telling tall tales and listening to the sounds of the bush as a memorable camp oven dinner is cooked for you.
A favourite half day ride is one that leads to the Blue Duck Inn, alongside the Cobungra River. A ride through the bush then a sip at the pub, and a shorter trek home, whatever the weather.
Two comfortable rustic bush huts are also available to those wanting a break away somewhere more remote. They are self-contained or catered, it is entirely up to you. Also available for riders, and non-riders, is the lodge The Willows farm retreat.
