The paintings of Percy Masters (1893- 1998) are greatly admired for their charm as much as their historical value.

Born in Walhalla in 1893, Masters spent a lifetime painting his memories of a youth growing up in the township. Today his works form an important account of the rise and fall of this early gold-mining town (which would later rise again).

Walhalla 150 Years marks 150 years of the town's foundation, and 100 years since the closure of the Long Tunnel Mine.
