Overview
A Sustainable Living Festival is being conducted in Heyfield by the award winning Heyfield Community Resource Centre on Saturday the 2nd November 2013. The Heyfield CRC are well known and respected in the world of sustainability having being named as
- the Winner of the 2011 United Nations World Environment Day
- the Winner of the 2011 Prime Super Award
- a Finalist of the 2011 State Premiers Award
- the Winner of the 2012 Tidy Towns - Pam Keating Sustainable Communities Award
- the Winner of the Australia Day Community Group of the Year 2013
The next stage of our sustainability program is to showcase the new and emerging technologies for homes and businesses.
Our Centre is truly a community resource with our staff and volunteers delivery many varied program to our community. We are a not for profit organisation and have been operating for 29 years in Heyfield. Our reputation as a reliable and ethically sound organisation is well known.
The Festival will be held on the grounds situated between George and Mary Street in Heyfield. These grounds are large enough to host our trade exhibitions, food stalls, family fun activities and the many visitors that will be attending on the day.
Focusing on sustainable living options our Festival will be a valuable way for businesses and community organisations to interact with the public. Exhibitors will be able to showcase their products, conduct demonstrations and provide practical information.
Our aim is to further showcase to potential users the new and emerging sustainability technology providing them with the practical skills to ensure their lives and communities become more sustainable. Entry will be free for all spectators on the day.
