Prom Country Cheesery produces handmade specialty cheeses on the family farm in the picturesque Moyarra Valley, South Gippsland.

Owned and run by Burke & Bronwyn Brandon, the focus is producing sheep milk and showcasing its transformation into distinctive regional cheese. Their cheese making journey started in the mid 1990's as Red Hill Cheese, later adding the Prom Country label to identify sheep products from the home farm.

Multi-award winning Prom Country sheep cheeses are sought after for their unique qualities of creaminess, elegant flavour and delicate texture, influenced by the fertile pastures in the rolling lush hills of South Gippsland.

Sustainable, natural and ethical farming techniques combine with simple raw ingredients to create a wide range of traditional, wholesome cheeses made from sheep, goat, and organic cow's milk. Styles include fresh marinated, soft white-mould, washed rinds, semi-hard and blue cheeses.

The family is involved in the entire paddock-to-plate process from growing the pastures, to breeding, milking and handcrafting the cheese, then proudly presenting the final products to the visitor.

Sample cheese in the comfort of the tasting room, or enjoy a home-cooked meal in the fresh air of the veranda. Cheese tasting plates or larger ploughman's platters utilising local produce can be purchased along with local wines or craft beer. Experience the breathtaking landscape of the Moyarra Valley, surrounded by pastures and the beautiful animals that provide your food.

Viewing windows into the cheese making area are accompanied by interpretative information. There are ample lawns for family recreation around the single-level accessible facilities. Midweek tour groups by appointment.
