The Gallery's changing exhibition program showcases local and regional artists, and includes diverse touring exhibitions. Community engagement is supported with the annual community art and craft exhibitions and local schools art.

Central Goldfields Art Gallery is a cultural facility of Central Goldfields Shire Council, and in line with Council's Arts and Cultural Policy, the Gallery Collection is exhibited and features artwork by local and regional artists.

Education programs for school children and Friends of the Gallery programs are run throughout the year.
