The Merindoc Café and Cellar Door is located at Tooborac, in central Victoria's Heathcote region, surrounded by dramatic hills and spectacular granite outcrops.

The Merindoc wine range emanates from two separate vineyard sites. The Willoughby Bridge vineyard at Colbinabbin in the Northern district of the Heathcote region, with its rich red Cambrian soil, is ideal for varieties such as Shiraz, Cabernet, Grenache and Mourvedre, while the Merindoc site, with its cooler southerly climate and tough granite soil is renowned for producing award-winning aromatic whites such as Riesling and Viognier, as well as spicy, savoury Shiraz.

Merindoc and Willoughby Bridge vineyards are managed to produce sustainable low yields, ensuring wines of the highest possible quality. The climate and soil types create a diverse range of wine styles requiring careful and adaptive viticultural expertise to bring forth the best from each vine. Hand-pruning, hand-picking and specialised training techniques endow staff with an intimate knowledge of the vineyards.

The Shelmerdine family has a long history of managing high quality vineyards in Victoria, and for three generations has been among Victoria's most prominent grape growers.

Visit the Merindoc Café and Cellar Door and enjoy a relaxed tasting, or a long lunch featuring fresh, organic produce from the kitchen garden. The menu is seasonally inspired and the café regularly hosts a range of food and wine weekends.

The large granite stone fireplace is a perfect place to relax with a glass of red in the winter months, and the beautiful native garden provides a relaxing retreat on warm summer days. Located just 100 kilometres north of Melbourne, the Merindoc Café is the perfect place for a leisurely lunch.
