The Moora Working Draught Horse Muster, held on Easter Sunday, will be in its sixth year.
With a great success in 2013; 84 horses ploughing, harrowing, scarifying and pulling horse drawn vehicles. The hay sweep and grab was lifting and loading the hay and the horse works was driving the Merry Go Round and Stationary Baler.
This coming Easter come and see what's working! Plus plenty of horse drawn vehicles will be driving around. Wander around and talk to the horses and their owners about all the 'old' machinery, how it works and why; learn about their living history!
Entertainment on the day will include; vintage games for the children, horse shoe tossing, tug of war between a Clydesdale, the children and adults, drive a Clydesdale using long reins, (hand) blade shearing, old fashioned strength machine displays, Salty the blacksmith, George the cooper, old Dave, big Mick the rope maker, harness and saddlery with Noel Wiltshire, old fashioned craft displays, folk art, bead making, leather goods and much more.
Catering will be available all day along with live music by Ray Cox and Co. and Callum Gleeson will entertain all day.
It's a terrific day out to see how things used to be done and its lots of fun!
