Vesak Festival of Light - a celebration of peace and harmony inspired by the Buddha's birthday. Join in the candle lantern procession, workshops and tours. Experience a beautiful display of lanterns, sensational dancing and singings acts from around the world and spectacular display of fireworks. At The Great Stupa Bendigo - Saturday 25th May 2013 from 1 pm to 7 pm
The Great Stupa is the largest Buddhist monument in the Western world including Australia. It's the final home for the largest gem quality Jade Buddha in the world and becoming increasingly popular as a great tourist attraction in Victoria.
This event is supported by City of Greater Bendigo, Bendigo Tourism and various organisations including United Nations Vesak Committee Melbourne, Bendigo Tafe (BRIT) and United Nations Vesak Committee Melbourne..
