The Guildford Regional Produce Market happens on a quarterly basis, staged at the Public Hall in the small goldfields town of Guildford. This community-orientated market coincides with the change of seasons, and has been a regular occurrence for some four many years now.
Although a small market, it features a wide selection of locally grown seasonal produce, both organic and bio-dynamic inspired. All of the stallholders hail from within a short distance from the towns centre, and come together to share their bounty and lovingly prepared creations with locals and visitors to this historic area.
Despite the sometimes harsh climatic conditions, this area boasts award winning wines, and olive oil who showcase their products at this unique event. The Christmas Market held in early December is like an Aladdin's Cave of handmade treasures, created for giving.
Other local produce on sale here includes sumptuous cakes, imaginative creations in wool and cloth, wide selection of handcrafts, handmade gift and postcards, beauty products, soaps, candles, creative metalwork, a variety of plants and bulbs, fresh vegies a riot of jams, preserves, chutneys and pickles, all to tempt your senses.
There is always ample parking available. Enjoy the real country atmosphere of this unique market. Stay and savour the BBQ meats, and help support the local CFA and primary school through your purchase. Or take home an armful of locally grown plants and shrubs.
Doors open at 9am and it's always a popular place to be.
