The Castlemaine Jazz Festival on Queen's Birthday weekend is an inclusive event highlighting the jazz genre in all its variety.Jazz has a fascinating history covering everything from New Orleans to bebop, standard ballads, West Coast cool, fusion and contemporary. The Castlemaine Jazz Festival is designed to be a people's event, promoting the performance and appreciation of the music by young and old alike. This not-for-profit festival is entirely run by volunteers, and performers generously offer their talents with no certainty of a financial return. There will be a rolling performance program at each venue, with more than 60 groups playing across the weekend, plus jam sessions at the end of each day's schedule.Please see the website for online ticket sales and further details.

Ray Bradfield Room, behind historic Castlemaine Market Building in Victory Park, next to IGA Supermarket
Tickets can be purchased during the festival at the centrally located office in the Ray Bradfield Room, off Mostyn Street, between Victory Park and the IGA Supermarket. Tickets may also be purchased online. Program events and a jam session will be held on the Friday evening. Day and weekend tickets give access to all venues at all scheduled times.
