Kangaroos in the Top Paddock is a self-contained secluded rammed earth cottage adjacent to the Grampians National Park. Named after a mob of local kangaroos that appear at dawn and dusk, the property is 22 acres of natural bushland in the Wartook Valley with spectacular views of the Mount Difficult range.

Designed as a retreat for busy adults, Kangaroos in the Top Paddock sleeps up to four people comfortably with two rooms featuring Queen beds, each with full ensuite bathrooms, heating and mountain views. Cool in Summer and warm in Winter the cottage is energy efficient and ecologically sound with a modern, very well-equipped kitchen with ceramic cooktop and electric oven.

The wood heater with stone chimney is a central focus with comfortable leather chairs and there is a separate dining area. No detail has been spared in the stylish interior which features polished terra-cotta floors inlaid with river pebbles and tribal rugs. Every room has heating and air conditioning and there are large windows in every room that allow one to observe at close range the many native animals and birds which abound on the property.

Top Paddock has a fine selection of quality music and films plus some great books. The vine-clad front terrace has a native garden and outdoor dining facilities with gorgeous views across the garden to the mountain range. The sunny walled rear courtyard has herb and citrus garden features an alfresco kitchen with electric barbecue.

Enjoy peace and serenity at Top Paddock, your retreat in the magnificent Grampians.
