Dalwhinnie Wines is a family owned vineyard established in 1976. It is one of Victoria's greatest wine estates, making wines that are regional highpoints. A little more isolated than most Pyrenees vineyards, Dalwhinnie nestles under the brow of a hill with spectacular views of the amphitheatre vineyard from the contemporary glass-walled tasting room.

The Cellar Door is open daily for tastings and sales and offers cheese / antipasto plates each day. Premium producers of Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon under the Moonambel range, Dalwhinnie also produces a 'cafe' range of wines called 'The Hut'.

The site is totally frost-free which enables the grapes to reach optimum ripeness and the vineyard is non-irrigated and operated on strong organic viticultural principles; the fruit is hand-picked, for example, and the vines are cane-pruned by hand. But it is the hills and soil of the Pyrenees - the terroir - which are a vital factor in the vineyard's success.
