Carisbrook Cottage is a self-catering bed and breakfast situated in the heart of Queenscliff, opposite the Legendary Blues Train/Historical Steam Train Station and behind the station is the Bellarine Rail Trail and Swan Bay.

Carisbrook Cottage is also just around the corner from the Hesse Street Shopping Centre, beaches, restaurants, café, art galleries, historical museum and within walking distance to the Queenscliff-Sorrento Ferry Terminal, New Harbour Complex, Fort Museum, and Maritime Museum. A short car/bus trip or a 40 minute walk will get you to the Marine Discovery Centre and only a little further on you have the local skate park and Point Lonsdale shopping centre.

The cottage is self-contained. There is a queen size bed in one room and two single beds in the second room (fold up bed available for extra child under 12yo) and fold up wooden cot available. The cottage has gas heating for the winter and ceiling fans or air conditioner for the summer months.

There is also a garden area with a BBQ and outdoor setting, plus laundry facilities. The lounge has a small dining area Stereo/TV/DVD player, lounge suite; all towels and linen are supplied (except cot linen). Fresh bread, cereals, juice, milk, butter, spreads plus coffee/tea making requirements are supplied and there is a fully equipped kitchen. Extra cleaning during long stays will have an extra charge and need to be prearranged with operators.

The cottage is situated at the back of the owners property and some of the regular comments received from guests is that it is quiet, relaxing, comfortable, clean, central and reasonably priced. Aimed at both family getaways and couples just needing some time out.

Cancellation and booking policy

By booking accommodation with Carisbrook Cottage you agree to the following terms and conditions: Cancellations made within seven days of booking arrival date incur a 100% cancellation fee. Cancellations made with more than seven days notice incur an administration charge of 30% of total booking fee. Exception being the Blues Train Packages where the Ticketek 'No Refund' policy applies. They encourage customers to purchase travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances.

Local directions

From Geelong, follow Bellarine Highway - the B110, and follow the signs to Queenscliff. Turn left at roundabout in Queenscliff, drive down main street (Hesse St.) past shops then at bottom of hill you will see a Bait and Tackle Shop turn left there into Symonds St. From the Queenscliff Sorrento Car Ferry - follow the road into town. Symonds Street runs across Hesse Street (the main road), look for the shops on the corner of Symonds and Hesse Street, the first shops you will see coming from the ferry terminal. Turn right here into Symonds Street.

Disabled access

Carisbrook Cottage is only available for assisted disabled people. There is no wheelchair access, there are two steps into the cottage and the cottage is small inside.
