Hand-feed, touch Aussie animals at no charge at Fauna Australia Wildlife Retreat. Take your own photos, as many as you want! One stop to get up close (hand-feed) and take photos with koalas, wombats, kangaroos and wallabies. Animal feed is supplied.

Fauna Australia Wildlife Retreat is centrally located midway between Apollo Bay and Port Campbell, on the main road to the Otway Fly Treetop Walk and Triplet Falls, surrounded by the Otway's National Park, high in the rainforest.

Fauna Australia Wildlife Retreat is an Animal Lover's Haven, with their accommodation situated on private property dedicated to endangered breeding of some of Australia's rarest species. Hosted by Dean (Zoology) and Kirsten (B.Sc Ecotourism), it is home to some of the largest and most successful breeding colonies of endangered nocturnal mammals.

Ideal for families, animal lovers and, or international guests, Fauna Australia Wildlife Retreat offers a great base to explore all the Otways and the Great Ocean Road has to offer.

Local directions

If travelling from Port Campbell, continue along The Great Ocean Road to Lavers Hill. Go through Lavers Hill and continue past the last shops. It turns into Colac-Lavers Hill Road. They are two kilometres along this road on the left. If travelling along The Great Ocean Road from Melbourne, they are 45 minutes drive from Apollo Bay. Once in Apollo Bay travel until you get to the top of the mountain and reach a T-intersection. At this intersection, turn right and they are two kilometres along this road on the left.
