No.1 William St is a delightful random stone cottage was built in the early 1850's by Benjamin Bowyer from stone carried from the common in a crude wheelbarrow by his wife Mary Anne.No. 1 William St has been restored with care to retain its historical atmosphere and character while offering modern comforts. The cottage and William St itself are recorded by the National Trust and are the located in Port Fairy's historic precinct. The wharf, beach, restaurants and shops are all within easy walking distance. The cottage contains three bedrooms, sitting room and large kitchen and is supplied with quality linen and supplies for continental breakfast. Features that add to the cosy atmosphere and old world charm of No. 1 William St include the open fire and French doors to a private sheltered garden. Ideal for a romantic weekend or family holiday. In the warmer months return from the beach and shelter from the heat in the protection of the cool stone walls. The cottage contains one queen bed, one double bed and one king single with trundle.

Travelling along the Princes Highway turn left from Warrnambool or right from Portland at the sign to Port Fairy Town Centre. William Street is the first cross street. Turn right and number one is the last cottage on the left, this is where No.1 Williams St cottage is located.
