Overview
Situated in the unspoilt beauty of the coastal headlands, Moonlight Escape boasts views of the great southern ocean to the east and west.
Moonlight Escape is a piece of art, testament to the genius of Glen Murcutt, Australian's most celebrated architect. Moonlight Escape offers the very rare opportunity, not just of seeing Murcutt's work, but intimately experiencing it in a way that is accessible and affordable.
The house has been fitted out with the finest European furnishings and appliances. The kitchen, with its stunning bench is guaranteed to delight the gourmet cook. The beautiful Italian dining table is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxed dinner with friends. Once you have eaten, retreat to deep comfort of the lounge and enjoy the open fire, itself a signature Murcutt piece.
The master bedroom boasts a Savoiur bed, one of only a handful in the southern hemisphere. This handcrafted bed from London, much-loved by the rich and famous, will offer you a night of perfect slumber. Awake refreshed and see our local kangaroos grazing in front of your bedroom window.
For your entertainment, there is a fully integrated Bang and Olfsen system, which allows the children to be entertained as they watch their favourite DVD in one room, while you listen to your own music as you sip a glass of wine in front of the fire, or chat to friends as you prepare dinner.
Everything is here to guarantee your perfect holiday, be it a weekend with friends or a romantic holiday for two. But be prepared, in the end the house itself will seduce you with its beauty, soothing body and mind into a state of gentle bliss.

Fine Dining
FROM GEELONG TO MOONLIGHT The 'Pettavel Winery' is to be found on the outskirts of Geelong, and is renowned for its wine and fine dining. Further along the road on the way to Colac, and nestled in the small town of Birregurra, discerning foodies will find the 'Sunnybrae', a restaurant specializing in the use of local and seasonal produce. Both restaurants have been recognized in The Age Good Food Guide. Once out of Colac, visitors will be well rewarded by breaking their journey at the The 'Otway Estate Winery' and Brewery. Aside from the opportunity to taste home Gourmet wine and cheese tasting at Otway Estates grown wines and beers, it's the ideal place to stop for a snack or meal. Closer to your destination the 'Laver's Hill Pub' has recently been taken over by Chef Paul. Drop in for a great local experience. ALONG THE GREAT OCEAN ROAD Apollo Bay provides countless dining opportunities. Our favourite is 'Buff's'. Enjoy great food in a casual and relaxed atmosphere that is most welcoming of children. Also in Apollo Bay, and with the only view of the water is 'La Bimba'. This cosy restaurant has great food and the best view in town. The 'Bay Leaf' is ideal for breakfast or lunch. On the eastern side of Apollo Bay, on the Forrest Road (take the turn off at Skenes Creek) is 'Chris' Restaurant'. Highly regarded this is a dining experience to be remembered, with stunning views of Bass Straight and exceptional Food. Travelling in the other direction, past the 12 Apostles is Port Campbell. The 'Waves' offers great coffee and if you don't want to cook yourself, it's a fantastic place for breakfast.
