South Bay Eco Adventures day trip to the Mud Islands includes an exclusive guided walk around the three Islands. It is a fantastic opportunity for bird enthusiasts to explore this unique wetland conservation area.
Mud Islands are a group of three islands surrounding a shallow tidal lagoon. The surface expression of the Great Sands of Southern Port Phillip Bay. They form the essential breeding area for colonies of local birds and provide an important habitat and feeding ground for migratory shorebirds.
Please note, it is strongly recommended footwear is worn at all times, such as wetsuit boots, reef creepers, sandals or old running shoes (with socks), as you will need to wade from the boat and between the islands. The water is not usually more than knee deep.
Other suggestions are wearing bathers under your clothing in case the water is above knee-deep, a hat, sunscreen, a backpack to carry your own lunch and water as lunch is often had at the opposite end of island from where the boat lands. Your camera, binoculars to observe or capture the majestic birdlife.
Keep a full change of clothes in the car in case you get wet whilst on the Islands.

Children need to be ages between, eight and 16 years old to be eligible for this ticket. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
The family ticket is for either two Adults and one Child, or two Adults and two Children. Additional Children are $50 each. Additional Children $25 each.
