Topographical is an exhibition of artworks and antiques exploring the idea of the world from above. From ancient cultures who 'mapped' their environment using a birds-eye view, to colonial cartographers who surveyed the land with tools and mathematics, humans have long imagined themselves looking down upon their landscape. In an age of drones and satellite imaging, old imaginings are becoming a practical means of understanding place. See antique maps and surveying tools exhibited alongside contemporary artworks by Greg Mallyon, Dean Bowen, Carmel Wallace, Nick Dridan and others. The opening of Topographical Art Exhibition will be held on Saturday 23 June and Sunday 24 June at Wishart Gallery.
