Heywood Wood, Wine & Roses Committee will be celebrating their 23rd Annual Festival on 27 February 2016. Entertainment is available for all interests: art and craft, dirt bikes, wine and cheese tasting marquee, children's amusements and carnival rides, with stalls of all different assortments from all states of Australia.

Add to that the magnificent street parade and dressed shop windows, with roving street performers during the parade and popping up throughout the day.

The festival committee provide 13 hours of non stop entertainment from 10:00am until 11:00pm, with an amazing fireworks display at 10.45pm, ensuring a grand finale to an action packed day.

Entertainment includes all time favourites such as the ever popular mower racing, wood chop Australian Championships, Highland Dancing State Championships, competitions in all areas of art and craft, the best stallholders and trade stalls. Three stages of entertainment. The street parade is sponsored by Heywood & District Community Bendigo Bank.

This is now the largest event in the Glenelg Shire attracting thousands of people each year. The Ute and Truck Muster was a great success in 2014 and is now an ongoing popular attraction.

The aim is to provide a family orientated, affordably priced entertaining day for all, as well as promoting local product and industry, history and culture of Heywood to the wider community.

No dogs or alcohol allowed on site - bring own seating if possible.
