The NightJar is the first of its kind on the Surf Coast. This is a designer/artisans festival with a great Surf Coast vibe. The festival is bringing together emerging designers, local producers, fair-trade importers and contemporary artists from all over Australia. This vibrant festival has beautiful unique craft, stunning art installations, fantastic boutique beer bar, worldly food sensations, amazing musicians, roving buskers, and a rocking new kids area.
NightJar (named after a local owlet that resides on the land) is set by the ocean and nestled amongst the trees along Spring Creek Reserve. At Nightjar we care about the environment and are working towards a waste free and sustainable event. We encourage patrons to bring their own picnic rugs and commute via pedal or leg power!
Come for an hour, the whole night or stay for the weekend! Relax with friends while being mesmerized by the atmosphere. You will be truly amazed by the caliber of the designers as you wonder leisurely around the shopping precinct. The Nightjar stage provides a platform for independent, progressive and down right talented musicians who will keep your toes tapping all night long.
The Surf Coast is rich in culture, many attending the festival have described it as entering into another world. We encourage you to leave your worries at the gate, step inside and celebrate life, family, friends, fun, music, dancing and shopping!
Nightjar creators Lyndelle and Kyla love what they do and hope to be surprising and inspiring you for many years to come, they both look forward to seeing you at "Nightjar's"(now also in Geelong in February) so come and say hi they will be the ones running around in tutus and sequins!
