The skies above Avalon Airport will again reverberate to the sound of thunder in February 2015, when the 12th Australian International Airshow gets underway.

To be held between 27 February and 1 March 2015, "Heroes of the Sky", marking the centenary of the formation of the Australia and New Zealand Army Corps and a centenary of military service to the nation from 1915 to 2015.

The public event begins on Friday afternoon, 27th February, with the spectacular 'Friday Night Alight' display, followed by two action-packed days of flying and static displays on Saturday February 28th and Sunday March 1st.

The 2015 Australian International Airshow will deliver one of the most exciting and diverse flying display programs ever seen in Australia. From the thunder of military fighter jets to the snarl of warbirds, a unique mix of military, commercial, antique, airsport, rotor and general aviation aircraft will thrill visitors. Flying display will feature the rag and wire aircraft of the First World War through to today's fifth generation fighters; the glory days of civil aviation through to the composite fly-by wire civil airliners of today; the grace of the glider through to stomach churning freestyle aerobatics.
