The TAB Warrnambool May Racing Carnival is the one of the best racing carnivals in Australia and the only one that is held over three consecutive days.

See the feature race 3YB Scotty Stewart Brierly Steeplechase, a traditional lead in to the Wheelie Waste Grand Annual Steeplechase and run over 3450 metres. It also is a leg of the Callaghan Motors Trainers Bonus commencing on the first day of the Carnival.

The Galleywood Hurdle is the major jumping race of the day. The Midfield Group Wangoom Handicap is the clubs main sprint and is one of the feature races of the carnival. These events will both be held on the second day of the Carnival.

On day three see the major day of the TAB Warrnambool May Racing, with Warrnambool's two biggest
races nestled amongst an already bulging program. The Wheelie Waste Grand Annual Steeplechase is the highlight of the jumping year.

The race first held in 1872 covers 5,500 metres and with 33 obstacles, has more fences than any other steeplechase in the world. The up hill and down dale terrain also makes it one of the toughest.

The Sungold Milk Warrnambool Cup also has a prestigious history and traditionally attracts a strong field. The Club is steeped in over 160 years of history and remains the jewel in Country Racing Victoria's crown.
