Cheese World promotes the local dairy industry through offering tastings and sales of the award winning Warrnambool Heritage Cheddar, Cracker Barrel, Mil Lel and Coon cheese varieties produced right across the road at the Warrnambool Cheese and Butter Factory.

The aim of the business is to promote locally made cheese, wine and gourmet products to the many visitors who stop here on their way along the Great Ocean Road.

Educational information on the local dairy industry both past and present is offered through a modern cheese making video filmed in the factory and a walk back in time through the local dairy farming history museum.

The Warrnambool Cheese and Butter Factory was first established on this site in 1888 and has continued to grow to become a major contributor to the local economy. The Museum shows the history of the factory and the local community through artifacts, photos and personal items belonging to early local dairy farming families.

Visitors enjoy lunch or a snack in the licensed cafe. Cheese Platters and Ploughman's Lunches are a specialty.

Cheese World is located on the Great Ocean Road at Allansford just 15 kilometres from Warrnambool.

Admission is free.
